In November of 1991, the Mayor and City Council of Alexandria officially recognized that John McEnearney's high professional standards and personal integrity, together with his generous support of the community, directly improved the quality of life in Alexandria. Those same standards and community support also hold true for the way business is conducted in all of our offices.
Numerous Associates of the firm are involved in Hopkins House activities and fund raising and John McEnearney is a recognized "Lifetime Community Stakeholder." This has been one of John's favorite charitable organizations and in 2005 he was honored at the Hopkins House Spring luncheon for all of his contributions over the years to this worthwhile cause.
Clemyjontri Park is a very special playground with its own carousel and picnic pavilion where "children with and without disabilities can play side by side, sharing the same excitement and thrills, and limited only by their imaginations......" McEnearney Associates is a proud supporter of Clemyjontri Park and we invite you to ride our prized donation - Mac's Mercury - on the carousel.
Each year for the past 20 years, all of our offices have participated in the Toys for Tots campaign. When December comes around this year, look for our signs and drop off your donation at any of our offices.
"Building Homes, Building Hope, Building Community" There are no better projects that our offices support than Habitat for Humanity and Rebuilding Together. Our Associates have participated in numerous projects over the years, donating thousands of hours of manual labor, as well as providing monetary support for local home building and renovation projects in Alexandria, Arlington and Fairfax.
The majority of our Associates are women. Consequently, we have witnessed first-hand how this terrible disease has affected the lives of many of those that we work with every day. We support various fundraisers in our area for Breast Cancer, including the annual Alexandria Walk to Fight Breast Cancer.
If you walk around Alexandria this winter, be sure to listen for our Salvation Army bell ringers. For more than a decade, no matter what the weather, our Associates cheerfully ring at the kettle at 510 King Street to raise funds for the Salvation Army, one of the most highly regarded charitable causes.
We have been supporters of various Little League teams, the McLean Project for the Arts, Children's National Medical Center, the Loudoun Lyme Walk, the McLean Orchestra, Mosaic Harmony, First Night celebrations in Falls Church and Alexandria, blood donor drives, community "shred-It" events . . .
