I’m Dave Kolakowski, and I’m a licensed associate broker in DC, Maryland, and Virginia. I bring to my clients a level of customer service I’ve developed throughout nearly twenty years in real estate. Whether you are looking to buy or sell a home, I practice a three-part approach to taking care of your business:

In 1991, I helped establish Washington DC’s first exclusive buyer-brokerage firm, one of the first of its kind in the nation in buyer representation. When I decided to transition to a full service residential real estate brokerage, my primary goal was to discover a firm that was known for great leadership in the real estate industry. I was looking for a company that wasn’t big for the sake of big, and where the client was paramount. I found those traits at McEnearney Associates.

Working as an exclusive buyer-broker, I traveled where my clients needed me to go. The geographical diversity of that experience took me from Frederick to Fredericksburg and from Culpepper to the Eastern Shore. I can be anywhere you need me. I can gauge how realistic your expectations are, and where it’s possible to find what you’re looking for.

I have a strong background in construction, so I know good workmanship when I see it, and I help my clients distinguish what’s a good value and what’s not. If you are having a home built, I conduct site visits to assure the right kinds of materials being used, and to bring donuts and coffee to the people who are working on your house. I do this because people who know you will always do a better job for you.
