Joanne has lived in Northern Virginia over 30 years. Her interest in Real Estate evolved from an early age in Historic Savannah, Georgia, where she grew up in a family involved in architecture, historic preservation and construction. Joanne graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in English and Spanish, and advanced her education at George Washington University and the University of Mexico, and with studies in finance at The American School of Banking in San Francisco, Stanford University, Notre Dame, and Georgia Southern University. Her varied interests and talents led her, after eleven school years of piano study, to study at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
Joanne’s career endeavors have taken her around the country. She taught high school English and Spanish in Savannah, worked as an Administrator and Manager for Value Engineering Company, now VSE Corporation, in Alexandria; was a branch officer at Wells Fargo Bank in San Francisco; and was the Corporate Cash Manager for Fannie Mae in Washington D.C., managing between $500 million and $2 billion on a daily basis.
Joanne received her REALTOR license in 1979. She has drawn on her diverse background and on her expertise in housing, finance, and teaching in becoming an outstanding professional to buyers and sellers alike. In her approach to individual housing needs, she is adept at solution finding, with understanding and resolution for her clients in a positive and educational atmosphere.
