This past year, Nick Kuhn helped us sell a home, and buy a home. We were very fortunate in our choice of a realtor and are very grateful to him for his invaluable assistance.
At his very first visit to our home, Nick put us at ease, complimenting the appearance of our home, and the care we had given it. He listened intently to our reasons for wanting to sell our home, and the kind of home we wished to buy. He then walked through our home and made suggestions for getting the home ready to show/sell. He explored with us the kind of home we wished to buy and the price we thought we could afford. He explained the steps involved in selling and buying a home. Nick did research of homes in our neighborhood in order to determine an appropriate sale price for our home.
Nick provided us with a list of potential homes, which he thought might possibly meet our needs. He took us on numerous trips to look at prospective homes and kept in touch with us frequently through email and telephone calls. Nick was very informative, pointing out the pros and cons of the homes we saw. During this time, he was extremely thoughtful of our personal well-being as we looked at prospective homes.
In preparation for marketing our home for sale, Nick made excellent photographs of our home, both inside and outside, combining them in an attractive brochure, pointing out the special features which made the home appealing. He put the house on the market on a Wednesday, after advertising on the realtors’ network and in the newspaper of an “Open House” the following Sunday. Nick made specific suggestions to enhance the showing of the house and hosted the “Open House” that Sunday. By evening on the 3rd day after the Open House, Nick had 3 offers for us to consider.
Nick helped us sort through the offers to choose the one which seemed to be the best for us. He then stepped up the process to negotiate purchase of a new home. He took us to see possible choices, until we finally chose one, and he helped negotiate that purchase. He was able to negotiate a favorable price in the selling of one home and the purchase of another. All along the way, he explained carefully each paper that we signed.
Nick arranged for the settlement to occur at a place convenient for us, and was encouraging and reassuring at every step of the process.
