Rolling Meadows invites one to explore a picturesque 11-acre manageable estate just a mile east of the quaint town of Middleburg, A small but robust creek meanders through the property, bordered by towering trees and open fields. The contemporary house was designed by a local architect and exemplifies indoor and outdoor living with scenic views from every room. The charming front gates, imported from Savannah and the stained glass front doors from Atlanta, give a unique accent to its modern appeal. Upon entry into the foyer, the vaulted pine ceilings captivate one's attention. A highly desirable, open floor plan has a main level master suite, private deck off the full bathroom, living and dining room combination, and an eat-in kitchen, all of which open to an expansive, acclimatized, tiled sunroom with skylights. The master suite offers a sitting room with generous closet space and a beautiful custom surround, gas fireplace. An efficiently designed kitchen opens to a patio for al fresco dining and grilling with wonderful scenic views. A laundry, half bath, and two car garage are just steps away. The upstairs cascading landing leads to three bedrooms, one with loft, one with many cedar closets and two full bathrooms. The bonus room above the garage has a separate, outside staircase entrance, which would allow for a home office, art studio, fitness room or library retreat! The grounds display lovely mature trees and professional landscaping accented by a perfect two-stall barn for your horses. A tack room, full attic hayloft and easy turn out to pastures make barn chores a dream. A run-in shed and large paddocks complete the country life that is so cherished in Middleburg. Enjoy leisurely hikes on your property and watch the deer, fox, and birds go by. Local fox hunting, steeplechase, polo, and horse shows fill the annual calendar along with visits to local wineries, shops, restaurants, and the famous Salamander Resort & Spa.

Middleburg

Established in 1787, was previously called Chinn’s Crossroads but was renamed because of its location midway between Alexandria and Winchester. Middleburg was more or less a staging point for those making the journey for east to west. The Civil the Colonial spirit lives on at the little inns, shops and restaurants in the historic downtown area. Middleburg was an important Civil War site as well; it was used by Confederate Colonel John S. Mosby as a base camp from which to raid nearby Union outposts.

Quality of Life:

Middleburg is horse country. It’s the kind of place where one can escape the reigns of the urban grind and blend into a calmer, more idyllic scene. It is a stylish community that boasts historic architecture and tree-lined streets adorned with charming shops and restaurants.
